Insurance Coverage Basics

Is insurance included with my rental?

Yes! Comprehensive insurance coverage is included with every Exuberance Car Rentals rental at no additional cost. This covers damage to the vehicle, liability, and comprehensive protection.

What does the insurance coverage include?

Our coverage includes: damage to the rental vehicle, third-party liability protection, uninsured motorist protection, and roadside assistance. Full details are in your rental agreement.

Is there a deductible?

Most rentals have no deductible on covered incidents. Your rental agreement will specify any deductible amounts that may apply to your specific vehicle and rental type.

What if I have my own auto insurance?

Your personal auto insurance may provide coverage as well. Our coverage is primary, but you can review your personal policy to understand any additional coverage you may have.

Damage & Claims

What should I do if I damage the vehicle?

Immediately report any damage to us at 407-779-3846. If the damage occurred during an accident, also call local police and file a report. Do not leave the scene of an accident.

Am I responsible for accident damage?

Most accident damage is covered by our insurance policy at no cost to you. However, damage resulting from negligence or violation of rental terms may result in charges. We'll investigate and provide details.

What if damage is discovered after I return the vehicle?

We thoroughly inspect each vehicle upon return. If pre-existing damage is found, we'll compare it against your pickup photos and inspection. The insurance claim process applies to eligible damage.

How is damage assessed?

Our team documents all damage with photos and descriptions. We work with certified repair facilities to determine repair costs. Your rental agreement outlines the damage assessment process.

How long does a damage claim take?

Simple claims are typically resolved within 5-10 business days. Complex claims involving insurance investigation may take 2-4 weeks. We'll keep you updated on the status.

Specific Damage Scenarios

Who pays for windshield damage?

Glass damage is typically covered by our comprehensive insurance with no deductible. If caused by normal road hazards, there's no cost to you.

What about tire damage?

Minor punctures are covered. Damage from hitting objects at high speed or negligent driving may not be covered. Our team will assess the cause of the damage.

Are dents and scratches covered?

Minor wear and tear is expected and covered. Significant damage from accidents or collisions is covered by insurance. Intentional or negligent damage may not be covered.

What if something is stolen from the vehicle?

Report thefts immediately to police and to us. Comprehensive insurance covers theft of the vehicle and covered personal belongings, subject to your rental agreement terms.

What if the vehicle is in an accident while parked?

If the vehicle is hit by another vehicle or object while parked, report it immediately to police and to us. Our insurance covers hit-and-run and vandalism damage.

Renter Responsibilities

What damage am I responsible for?

You're responsible for damage caused by: reckless driving, violating rental terms, driving under the influence, or off-road use. Your rental agreement defines excluded scenarios.

What if I violate the terms of the rental?

Violation of rental terms (such as off-road driving or prohibited use) may void coverage and make you liable for all damage costs.

Can I get coverage without a police report for minor accidents?

For accidents, we strongly recommend filing a police report. This provides documentation for the insurance claim. We can advise you on proper reporting procedures.

What if I cause damage but don't report it?

You must report any damage immediately. Failure to report can affect the claim process and your rental history. Always call us at 407-779-3846 right away.

Claims Process

How do I file a damage claim?

Report the damage to us immediately at 407-779-3846. Provide details, photos if possible, and any police report information. We'll guide you through the rest of the process.

Do I need a police report for a claim?

For accidents, a police report is recommended and sometimes required by insurance. For parking lot damage or vandalism, call police (non-emergency) for documentation.

What documentation do I need for a claim?

Provide: rental agreement details, photos of damage, police report number (if applicable), description of how damage occurred, and any witness information.

Can I request a specific repair facility?

We work with certified repair facilities to ensure quality repairs. You can request a specific facility, and we'll work to accommodate if available.

Will I receive a rental vehicle while mine is being repaired?

For damage claims covered by our insurance, we'll provide a replacement vehicle at no cost while your rental vehicle is being repaired.
